Rajat Kapoor

Delhi-born Rajat Kapoor is a multifaceted artist who established himself across theater and Indian cinema as an actor, director, and writer known for blending humor with thought-provoking themes. After starting in theater, he transitioned to film with early roles in Khayal Gatha (1989) and Bhopal Express (1999) before earning widespread acclaim for acting in hits like Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Bheja Fry (2007), and Kapoor & Sons (2016). As a filmmaker, he carved out a distinct niche with critically acclaimed directorial ventures, most notably Raghu Romeo (2003)—which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi—alongside Mixed Doubles (2006), Mithya (2008), and Ankhon Dekhi (2014).
