Mita Vashisht

Mita Vashisht is a acclaimed Indian actress, director, and educator known for her work across film, television, and theater. An alumnus of the National School of Drama and Punjab University, she made notable television appearances in series like Space City Sigma, Swabhimaan, and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, while starring in diverse films ranging from avant-garde parallel cinema to mainstream Bollywood. Beyond acting, Vashisht has held visiting faculty positions at FTII and NSD, written and produced short films, and toured extensively with her solo play Lal Ded. Through her organization Mandala, she developed performance-art therapy modules to aid in the rehabilitation of trafficked minors, and in 2023, she was appointed Chairperson of the Governing Council for Haryana Film and Entertainment.
