Jaideep Ahlawat

Jaideep Ahlawat is an acclaimed Indian actor known for his powerful performances across Bollywood and digital streaming. Born in Haryana, where he completed his Master’s degree in English and engaged in regional theater, he pursued formal acting training at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), graduating in 2008 before moving to Mumbai. After early supporting roles in films like Aakrosh (2010) and Rockstar (2011), he experienced a major career breakthrough playing Shahid Khan in Anurag Kashyap’s gritty crime epic Gangs of Wasseypur (2012). He has since established himself as a versatile character actor and antagonist in prominent films such as Raazi (2018) and Gabbar Is Back (2015), while achieving massive critical and commercial acclaim starring as Delhi Police Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary in the hit Amazon Prime web series Paatal Lok (2020), which earned him a Filmfare Award.
